Conducted a webinar titled Basics of Experimental Pharmacology
On May 27, 2024, Maa Gayatri College of Pharmacy (MGCOP) conducted a webinar titled "Basics of Experimental Pharmacology" on the Google Meet platform. The guest speaker for the webinar was Dr. Toshita Mishra Gohil, Assistant Professor at UCP Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Mrs. Pooja Dubey Upadhyay, Principal of MGIPPS, served as the Convener of the program.
The webinar commenced with the felicitation of Dr. Toshita Gohil. Over the course of two hours, Dr. Gohil elaborated on the theme of the webinar, followed by a question-and-answer session with students and faculty members. The program was conducted digitally, with faculty and students participating from digital classrooms and a well-equipped seminar hall at the college.
Approximately 160 students from B.Pharma and D.Pharma actively participated in the webinar. The event concluded with the presentation of a Certificate of Appreciation to the guest speaker, Dr. Toshita Mishra Gohil, by Miss Shivani Sharma, Assistant Professor at MGCOP. Mr. Shubham Kushwaha, Assistant Professor at MGCOP, delivered the vote of thanks.
National Yoga Day
On June 21, 2024, Maa Gayatri College of Pharmacy (MGCOP) celebrated National Yoga Day with the theme 'Yoga for Self and Society'. The program commenced with a welcome speech by Mr. Akhil Tandon, Academic Administrator of MGCOP. The sports committee of MGCOP arranged for a yoga session in the sports hall, which was attended by the principal, students, and all teaching and non-teaching staff members.
The yoga session, conducted under the guidance of yoga instructor Mr. Satya Narayan Mishra, Assistant Professor at MGCOP, included learning various yoga asanas. Student volunteer Kriti Gupta and others demonstrated different yoga poses during the session. Additionally, a quiz competition was organized for the students as part of the event.
Miss Akansha Singh, Assistant Professor at MGCOP, delivered the vote of thanks, marking the conclusion of the program.
National Road Safety Week
On January 12, 2024, Maa Gayatri College of Pharmacy (MGCOP) celebrated "National Road Safety Week," observed from January 11 to 17, 2024, to promote road safety measures and prevent accidents. The program's inauguration began with the presentation of a floral bouquet and a warm welcome extended to Mr. Chandra Pal Singh, SI Prayagraj Uttar Pradesh Police Services, by Mrs. Pooja Dubey Upadhyay, Principal of MGIPPS, and Mrs. Manjula Srivastava, Principal of MGM.
During the event, SI Mr. Chandra Pal Singh educated the audience on essential road safety practices such as wearing seat belts, avoiding aggressive driving, using helmets, and refraining from drunk driving. Miss Jyoti, a lady police officer, also participated and provided training to female students on issues like eve-teasing and the importance of the 'Anti-Romeo Squad' in daily life. The program saw participation from all teaching and non-teaching staff members.
Additionally, 120 students from D. Pharma and B. Pharma took part in quiz competitions focused on road safety. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Bhanu Pratap, Assistant Professor at MGCOP.
Vaccination and Immunization
On May 11, 2024, Maa Gayatri College of Pharmacy (MGCOP) conducted a seminar on the theme "Vaccination and Immunization." Dr. Uday Kant Mishra, CEO of Maa Sharda Group of Institutions, was the Chief Guest and Resource Person for the program. The seminar was convened by Mr. Akhil Tandon.
The event began with a lamp-lighting ceremony in front of Goddess Saraswati. Mr. Anil Srivastava, Chairman of MGGOI, welcomed the Chief Guest with a floral bouquet. All teaching and non-teaching staff attended the seminar, along with 160 students from the B. Pharma and D. Pharma programs.
A certificate of appreciation was presented to the Chief Guest by the Chairman of MGGOI .The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Miss Shaktilata, Assistant Professor at MGCOP.
Celebrated World Hypertension Day
On May 17, 2024, Maa Gayatri College of Pharmacy (MGCOP) celebrated World Hypertension Day under the theme "Measure Your Blood Pressure Accurately Control It Live Longer." The event commenced with a welcome note and speech by hostess Miss Ritika John, Assistant Professor at MGCOP. Students delivered informative PowerPoint presentations on the effects of hypertension. There were practical demonstrations and hands-on training conducted by student volunteers, teaching participants how to measure blood pressure using manual sphygmomanometers, digital monitors, and mobile applications. Over 140 students actively participated in and benefited from the program. Mr. Pramod Kumar, Assistant Professor at MGCOP, concluded the event with a vote of thanks.
